"For each of us there is some mission in life if we but find it. All have some definite thing to do, something for which they have been created; and only the doing of this thing will justify their existence here on earth. If we come into the world and occupy space and time without giving back for this privilege, we have not justified ourselves, and our lives in the end are barren." ~ Hay

Top Five Tips For Staying Healthy During the Holiday Season

It’s the most wonderful time of the year….for other people.  That’s right; we put the welfare of others in front of our own as we scurry about cooking, shopping and preparing for the holidays.  The Holiday season is extremely busy and can be very stressful if we do not make time for ourselves.  Here are five tips you can incorporate to keep the holiday cheer….
I'm still smiling!

1.       Eat three healthy meals a day.  Do not skip meals because you are extra busy.  Take the time to sit down to a good meal that is homemade, organic and GMO free.  Getting your nutrients is crucial to your physical, mental and spiritual health especially this time of the year.  Make the crockpot your best friend if you do not have time to cook.

2.       Get a good night’s rest.  Please rest your head on the pillow between 10:00 – 11:00 PM.  Your body rejuvenates itself at night.  It’s crucial for your body to revitalize itself so you have extra energy to execute additional chores and responsibilities.

3.       Make a date with yourself.  Can you spare one half hour per week to do something for yourself?  How about trying reflexology?  This time of the year we are always on the run and our feet get tired. Our feet have nerve endings that connect with our organs and other systems throughout the body.  Having the entire system massaged through the feet will help you to relax and eliminate stress.  Of course, you can always ask a spouse or significant other to provide the service for you.  Then it is free!

4.        Whistle while you work.  We must accept “what is.”  As we go through life’s chores, we can either look at it from a positive or negative mindset.  Acceptance of “what is” will enable us to remain cheerful.  A smile is contagious.  Smile at people in the stores and see how much better you feel.  You will brighten their day as well as your own.

5.        Express gratitude for the wonderful gifts in your life.  There is a saying; “ You will never get what you want until you are thankful for what you have.”  How often do we not realize how blessed we truly are.

The Master Shift – Global Meditation 12.12.12

As you all know, I am involved with a group of people who are providing a guided global meditation to the world on 12.12.12.  We call ourselves “The Master Shift.”  Here is the link to the website:  www.themastershift.com.

The way the meditation will work is that it will be broadcast twice on 12.12.12.  The first time will be at 9:30 PM JST (Japanese Standard Time) for the Eastern Hemisphere and the second time at 9:30 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time).  The reason why we broke it up into two time periods is because of the vast array of time differences around the world.  This guarantees maximum participation.

The idea for the meditation came from this quote from Edgar Cayce, ”If ten people sincerely pray/meditate it can save a City; if twenty-five a Nation.”  There are two important points about this quote.  First, the meditation needs to come from a sincere place.  We have seen from the enormous response that people from around the world wholeheartedly believe in this project and have a sincere desire to participate as do we!  That is really heartwarming to our team.  The meditation will be broadcast on December 12th on YouTube from our channel “MasterShiftVideos” at no charge for anyone participating.  Second, we must have twenty-five people per nation.  In order for the meditation to be a success we need 4,900 participants according to Cayce because there are 196 countries.  We continue to market the project and have received help from Julian Lennon and his charitable White Feather Foundation.  Here is our recent video promoting the event.  Please watch and share on your social media sites.

If you have some time, please listen to Friday’s show, WakeUp & Live on Freedomizer Radio.  My special guest Joe Turchiano and I discuss what it means to be “spiritual.”

WISHING YOU ALL A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Geoengineering

Please whatever you do, do not put your hands over your ears.  Ignorance is not bliss.  In today’s world it is important to foster awareness of the world around you…even the world above you!

This past week, I spent some time watching two movies on Geoengineering.  The first movie was “What in the World are they Spraying;” and the second movie was “Why in the World are they Spraying.”  Both movies can be found in their entirety on YouTube.  I recommend during your spare time, you create some awareness by watching these two movies.  According to Wikipedia, Geoengineering is the “deliberate large scale intervention in the Earth’s climate system in order to moderate global warming.”  In the name of “global warming” airplanes are spewing out chemicals, also known as “chemtrails” into the atmosphere to deflect the sun’s rays upon the planet.  Testing of ground soils has found these three chemicals in particular that have fallen out of our skies: aluminum, barium and strontium.  Here are two ways this effects human health and what you can do about it:

Look up in the sky!

First, aluminum is accumulating in our soils.  This changes the PH of the soil so heirloom plants, or the plants our grandparents grew, have trouble growing.  How heroic for Monsanto to come to the rescue and offer seeds to farmers that can grow in aluminum rich soils.  http://www.scribd.com/doc/4296843/US-Patent-5003186-Stratospheric-welsbach-seeding-for-reduction-of-global-warming-spraying-with-aluminum-.  This shows how important it is to compost and grow our own food as well as purchase food locally from farmers you can trust.

Second, by blocking the sun’s rays from reaching the earth, we are creating what’s known as global dimming.  As a result of less ultra-violet light, we have a population with severely low vitamin D levels.   What is your vitamin D3 level?  If you do not know, I recommend you have your blood level tested by a trusted physician.  There are supplements you can take on a daily basis to get your numbers within range especially if you live in a cool weather climate.  We need to be aware of our vitamin D levels as it is an important hormone that assists our immune system.

We have to be our own advocate.  By accumulating awareness about what is happening in the world today we arm ourselves with knowledge which will keep us protected and safe.  It will enable us to make informed choices and help us to assist others.  Please take the time to watch these films to educate and inform yourself.
aye aye aye

Hurricane Sandy-A lesson learned

As you know, Hurricane Sandy made landfall early Monday evening.  Here on Long Island, we had over 80 mile per hour winds which took down power lines.  Schools have been closed all week as crews work on the clean-up.  Look what happened at my parent’s house:
Tree on powerlines at my parent's house.  Hurricane Sandy

I was much luckier.  Only one piece of siding blew off my house and we only lost power for three hours.  My parent’s and some of my close friends are still without electric power.  I feel completely blessed!

If this blog post is a bit late, it’s because I lost my cable connection.  I’ve had no internet and no television for the entire week.   I have to say it was hard at first because I didn’t realize how much time I spent on the internet.  I felt like I lost my favorite blanket or something, “Just call me Linus.”

How would I retrieve my business emails?  How would I post images on my various facebook pages?  How would I get any research done?  How would I work?  Life came to a standstill for me as I struggled to figure out how to get things done.  I tried to make a written list so I wouldn’t forget the many things that I needed to do.

A few days later, the realization hit me that my house was starting to look a bit cleaner.  I had the chance to see one of my best friends whom I haven’t seen in a while. (She came over to shower.)  Since my parents had no power, they moved in with me which gave me the opportunity to spend more time with them.  I finished the book that I was reading that seemed to be taking forever to finish.  A few assignments that I needed to finish were completed.  And…here I sit writing this blog; yet another item on my list that I will soon be able to cross off.

I have learned a very valuable lesson; that my time is important and that there is actually enough time to get things done.  There is a saying that “the devil’s time is idle time.”  I now realize how much time I have spent doing mindless drifting online when I could have been completing tasks and enjoying some of the better things in life.  Budgeting my time will be a new priority.  This will enable me to accomplish so much more and my life will be fuller and richer.  Can you shut your internet off for one week?  Will you become Linus?  What would you do with all that new found free time?

Back in action and making some soup
