"For each of us there is some mission in life if we but find it. All have some definite thing to do, something for which they have been created; and only the doing of this thing will justify their existence here on earth. If we come into the world and occupy space and time without giving back for this privilege, we have not justified ourselves, and our lives in the end are barren." ~ Hay

The Five “W’s”

"I throw my hands up in the air sometimes."

I recently had a conversation with a good friend of mine whereby he shared with me something called “The Five W’s.”  It is a procedure that you use to set an intention.  It is important for us to set intentions because we have the ability to set our own sail.  Our life will most certainly take us someplace, but why not give it some direction.  It may not always go as planned, but it is certainly better to know the road we are on.

Using the Five “W’s” is easy.  All you have to do is answer the Five “W’s”:  What, Who, Why, Where, When.  This will form your intention.  Let me give you an example.

What:  I intend to write an Ebook.

Who: Christine

Why:  Because I want to share information I know with others.

Where:  I can write this Ebook at home.

When:  I will start tomorrow 2/25.

I have just set my intention to write an Ebook.  I have just planted the seed.  Now this seed has been planted in my creative mind and will begin to grow.  The Universe will send me what I need to accomplish this goal.  I must take the opportunities as they present themselves.  Notice that “How” is not part of this intention setting exercise.  The Universe will determine the “How” it will get done.  It is my job to follow the signs.

You can write as many intentions as you wish.  I recommend setting intentions each week and taking action steps to make your intention take form.  Let’s see how you do!  Have fun writing and come back to share your experiences.
