"For each of us there is some mission in life if we but find it. All have some definite thing to do, something for which they have been created; and only the doing of this thing will justify their existence here on earth. If we come into the world and occupy space and time without giving back for this privilege, we have not justified ourselves, and our lives in the end are barren." ~ Hay

The Five “W’s”

"I throw my hands up in the air sometimes."

I recently had a conversation with a good friend of mine whereby he shared with me something called “The Five W’s.”  It is a procedure that you use to set an intention.  It is important for us to set intentions because we have the ability to set our own sail.  Our life will most certainly take us someplace, but why not give it some direction.  It may not always go as planned, but it is certainly better to know the road we are on.

Using the Five “W’s” is easy.  All you have to do is answer the Five “W’s”:  What, Who, Why, Where, When.  This will form your intention.  Let me give you an example.

What:  I intend to write an Ebook.

Who: Christine

Why:  Because I want to share information I know with others.

Where:  I can write this Ebook at home.

When:  I will start tomorrow 2/25.

I have just set my intention to write an Ebook.  I have just planted the seed.  Now this seed has been planted in my creative mind and will begin to grow.  The Universe will send me what I need to accomplish this goal.  I must take the opportunities as they present themselves.  Notice that “How” is not part of this intention setting exercise.  The Universe will determine the “How” it will get done.  It is my job to follow the signs.

You can write as many intentions as you wish.  I recommend setting intentions each week and taking action steps to make your intention take form.  Let’s see how you do!  Have fun writing and come back to share your experiences.

How to have a successful relationship….

Current statistics are that two out of every four marriages end in divorce.  Of the fifty percent remaining, only one-quarter would consider themselves happily married.  There is a way to improve on these statistics and that is by looking for a “spiritual union” rather than a “marriage.”

When we enter into marriage today, most of the time we get married to meet a need – like having children, loneliness, feeling needed, etc.  Once that need is met, there is nothing holding the marriage together.  There is no glue.  Then couples take things out on each other and life becomes “you didn’t do this and you didn’t do that.”  It is important to evaluate before you enter into marriage if it is “true love” or “need based.”   A spiritual union (or spiritual marriage) is a different process.

Before a spiritual union is formed, it is important for each individual to be healed of past hurts leaving them behind where they belong.  Then it is equally important to discover from “within” your soul path and then begin the process of looking for a mate who shares your passion and hence your journey.  A spiritual union is two people entering a union because there is a purpose to be served which can evolve humanity and better the world.  If this couple is married and has children, and those children go to college, they will remain married because there is still “glue” that keeps them together.  The couple loves each other unconditionally accentuating the positives and not giving any credence to the negatives.  This is what was intended by our creator.

We are at a critical time in the world – a turning point.  In order to advance society and preserve the world as we know it, the Universe is pairing up “soulmates” in hopes that they will bond and form a spiritual union.  The love between these two people is intense, unlike anything experienced in life.  It must be because this love will propel these two people to do extraordinary things.  It is a gift from the Universe to be paired with a soul mate.

Before you search for a mate, ask yourself what you can do to make the world a better place and do it.  Once you are on your soul path, doors will open and your other half will appear.

Healthy Mediterranean Pita

Have you set your intentions for 2013?  Were you specific as to what you wanted?  Are you taking action steps toward those goals?  As long as you take at least one step in the direction of your dreams, you are moving forward.  So pat yourself on the back for doing such a great job.

Since you are so busy executing your intentions, I bet you don’t have enough time to cook.  Remember, it is important to eat healthy every day.  There is no room for slacking when it comes to your health.  Therefore, I am sharing with you a quick, easy dinner that you can make in a very short period of time.  Enjoy!

Healthy Mediterranean Pita

2 (15oz) cans of garbanzo beans drained.  *Please look for Eden brand because they do not line their cans with BPA.

¼ cup olive oil

3 cloves fresh garlic

½ freshly squeezed lemon

Whole wheat pita rounds (found in the freezer section)

1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped organic spinach, thawed and drained

1 vine-ripened tomato

1 organic green pepper, very finely chopped

¼ cup feta cheese

A handful of black olives

In a food processor, add first four ingredients, processing until smooth.  Arrange pita bread rounds on ungreased baking sheet, brush with olive oil.  Bake at 450 degrees for 6 minutes.  Spread bean mixture evenly over pitas.  Arrange remaining ingredients over pita rounds.  Bake at 450 for another 5 minutes  or until heated through.

A BIG year 2013!!

Please take a deep breath and set your intentions for 2013.  Change is on the horizon and it’s your chance to become a part of it.  On December 21,2012 we entered a new era.  Yes, we are at the very beginning of massive positive change.  There is an abundance of universal energy available to those who wish to transform not only their lives in a positive direction but humanity as well.  It’s time to manifest change.  Are you ready?

The first step is to state your intentions.  Please be very specific as to what you want.  This will allow the Law of Attraction to activate.  I invite you to write down your intentions.  I will share with you some of mine to serve as an outline or model for your own.  Do not put a limit on it.  Please know that the Universe works on the principle of abundance.  Yes, there is enough for everyone.  Also, once you state your intentions, the Universe will start opening doors.  You must walk through them.  How many doors will you walk through in 2013?

I will be writing a thorough list of intentions for 2013 and sharing it with a special someone; more about that next week.  Today, I want to share with you the format for writing your intentions.

A few of my intentions for 2013

1.      2013 will bring me an abundance of money.  I am willing to receive monetarily for my efforts.  Being paid for my value will enable me to be financially independent and also have money available for future creative projects which will benefit all of humanity. J

2.     2013 will bring me balance.  I am willing to structure my life in a way that I have time for work, responsibilities and play.  All components of my life will see improvement due to razor sharp focus and organization.

3.     2013 will bring me love.  I am grateful for every single person that is a part of my life.  I consider myself extremely blessed to have such amazing friends and family.  2013 will enrich this by bringing me my soulmate.

4.     2013 will bring me career success.  I will be recognized and rewarded for my work.

See how it is done?  I want you to be even more specific…providing details!  Do not leave anything out so the Universe brings you exactly what you are looking for.  I am writing my specific intentions this weekend.  We will discuss them in next week’s blog.   Time to put on your thinking cap!  What do you want in 2013?
Working on my intentions!

Letting Go

How did we get to the end of the year already?  As 2012 comes to an end, it’s time to close the door to people, places or things that no longer serve you.  Is there something in the way that is preventing you from moving forward?  If so, it’s time to make the final sweep so you are ready for new doors and opportunities in 2013.  Yes, change is in the air.

In the final days of 2012, can you say goodbye to someone who has deeply hurt you?  Can you say goodbye to someone who doesn’t allow you to grow both emotionally and spiritually? Can you say goodbye to a cheating spouse?  Can you say goodbye to addictions you may have such as alcohol or drugs? Can you say goodbye to procrastination? Can you say goodbye to self-loathing?   It’s time to look in the mirror and love yourself for exactly who and what you are.  If someone else cannot accept that, it’s time to let them go.   Big changes are never easy.  We often feel like the rug has been pulled out from under us and we are falling fast.  Sometimes we need to fall because that leads to periods of growth and learning.  By studying and analyzing our mistakes we can break them down and search out their meaning.  This often takes time and some quiet reflection, but is necessary so we do not continually repeat our mistakes.  When we close doors it may hurt because we lose the comfort of what we knew.  It takes time to get comfortable again, but it will happen…but only if we close the door.  So shut it!  Remember that letting go and forgiveness go hand-in-hand.  It is process, but you cannot let go of something or somebody without forgiving them.  This will allow you to not look back and, instead, move forward.  If this is difficult for you, please seek outside counseling to help deal with the unresolved feelings.

January 1, 2013 starts a brand new year.  It’s a fresh start to attract what you truly want in life.  We have entered a new age and it will be different from what we knew life to be.  It’s all good, but you have to be ready, willing and able to accept it.  Can you accept the good that is coming your way even if it is different than what you knew?  Come back to this blog next week, as I set new intentions for 2013.  I am very encouraged that this will be my best year yet and it will be yours too, but first, in these final days of 2012, FORGIVE & LET GO!

What is happening to our youth?

I must say a few words about the tragedy in Connecticut.  We may never know the true story as to why a young man (20 years old) would go into an elementary school and start shooting innocent children.  There isn’t a person on this planet that is not affected by this horrific act of violence.

As a Health Coach and Educator, I am very concerned about this generation of children who are growing up without the proper nutrients.  When our body doesn’t get what it needs it affects the brain and our thinking processes.  If our blood is tainted with chemicals, GMO’s and other synthetic foods, this gets pumped to our brain causing the individual to behave in ways that can be detrimental to the individual or society.  Instead of recognizing someone’s mental state as a lack of nutrients, doctors put these individuals on prescription meditation which further depletes the immune system.  Side effects from medication have not been studied, especially someone who has been put on numerous medications at one time.  This is very concerning and alarming and must be changed.

It’s time to change the way in which we live to one that is in balance and harmony with the Earth.  We can no longer live in a way that depletes the Earth of her natural resources; we must go back to growing food organically retaining all the beneficial nutrients in the soil.  Collectively, we must find solutions so there is enough for everyone.

I send my love and prayers to everyone affected by this tragedy.
